The Steering Committee

In line with the “Snakebite Roadmap”, WHO’s strategic plan for control and prevention of snakebite, the Snakebite Community Engagement Network was established in early 2023 with the support of Health Action International and partners. The overall objective of the Network is to contribute to WHO’s 2030 snakebite targets by strengthening the capacity of community experts to undertake coordinated responses that reduce snakebite deaths and disabilities around the world.

The network is governed by the Steering Committee which consists of 6 members and gathers monthly online. Hiral Naik is the chair of the Steering Committee.
